Sara Petty is a hero. This 20-year-old young woman, who proudly shares the fact that she weighs 219 pounds, grew tired of body-shamers telling people what they can and can’t wear. Instead of fighting these internet trolls with words, she let her sexy pictures do the talking.
A Bowling Green State University student, Sara took to Twitter and single-handedly destroyed the notion that woman who weigh more than 200 pounds shouldn’t wear bikinis, shouldn’t wear crop tops, shouldn’t wear booty shorts and shouldn’t wear leggings.
Instead of listening to body-shamers, Sara has a clear message to women across the globe: “Girls, wear whatever the hell you want!”
Said Sara: “I hope women realize how important it is to stop tearing each other down and uplift each other.”
She added: “I also hope that girls are able to separate who they are from the number that shows up on the scale, and realize there is no number, high or low, that dictates if you’re worthy of feeling beautiful.”
“Body-shaming will probably always be there in some way,” suggested Sara, “but I hope my post helps at least some women feel beautiful in spite of it.”
